Normandy
Operation Overlord We planted an American flag on the beach. We landed at Normandy at sun rise. We had a much more comfortable landing exiting the landing craft than they did on D Day. Nice comfortable ferry. Left at midnight and landed a 7:00. Omaha Beach, American Memorial We rented a car and headed to Juno Beach which is the Canadian landing beach. We stayed in a lovely Air B&B at Courseulles- sur-Mer on the beach with a sunset/sunrise view. We visited most of the D-Day landing beaches. Ionian Sea
Greece Like you have never seen it before! Our daily schedule was so relaxed, stress seemed to float away. Up early to watch the sunrise over the majestic mountains of |the Ionian Sea. Yogurt and fruit for breakfast with a coo off swim. Then power to a secluded beach/island preferably with a Tiki Bar. Bortoletto /Lockwood Greek salad with the real Italian seasoning. Then we would wait for the wind to come up around 3 and have a great sail to the next taverna. ...
