Picasso in Paris
Paris and Picasso in the snow on Valentines!
Off to Kings Cross to catch the Eurostar at Saint Pancreas.
The only real way to go to Paris from England is by the Euro star. Leaving from platform 9 3/4 is just the ticket. Now how do you get through there?
Off we went;) And look what we found, Jennifer in the snow!
Arrived late but hotel Josephine was close. It was right next to Moulin Rouge.
This trip we picked more obscure venues to see. There is so much to see in Paris that it is amazing. We saw a coral concert at a beautiful church.
Then the next day we went to find the Bastille and come to find out it is not a building any more, all that is left is a monument in the middle of a round about.
Had coffee at the Hippo and waited for Jennifer to catch up with us.

Off to the Picasso Museum.
We got free tickets to the Sainte Chappel and Conceigier so we looked them up.
Amazing chappel with the most beautiful surround stain glass windows I have ever seen. This was a real treat.
Sainte Chappel
Now we got to see the prison Marie Antoinette resided in until her end. This was called the Concercierge which at first was a palace then turned into a prison.
It was really eerie feeling.

We took the Petit Palasis by storm, once we found it. I was navigating and it seems in google maps there is more than one Petit Palasis, but we eventually found it. It had a wonderful special display of Dutch painters and its own collection.
These guys sure did have loads of money to build beautiful buildings, they are everywhere.
Lots of good food, fun and beads!
We also did manage a few of the main events, after all we were in Paris.
Then it was off to Gard Du Nord and the Eurostar home.
Au revoir!
